Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Lumin LLC (“Lumin,” “we,” or “us”), the company that operates Roamer. They govern your use of the Roamer website, Android app, iOS app, APIs, and related services.

Using Roamer

  • Roamer helps you create, organize, share, and operate travel plans across the website, mobile apps, and related services.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Roamer. You are responsible for your account, trip data, collaborators, and any activity that happens through your account.
  • You agree to use Roamer only for lawful personal travel planning purposes and not to interfere with, abuse, reverse engineer, or misuse the service.
  • Your use of Roamer is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Travel information

  • Roamer is not a travel agency, airline, hotel, insurer, tour operator, transportation provider, or government authority.
  • Itineraries, budgets, travel times, weather, reservation details, visa guidance, alerts, and AI-generated suggestions may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable.
  • You are responsible for verifying critical travel details with the original provider or official authority before acting on them.

AI output

  • Roamer uses AI systems to generate itineraries, suggestions, summaries, packing ideas, budgets, and other trip context.
  • AI output is generated from the information available to Roamer and may contain errors or recommendations that are unsuitable for your situation.
  • You may use AI output for your personal travel planning, but you should review it carefully before relying on it.
  • Do not rely on Roamer or AI output as the sole source for visas, passports, entry requirements, health requirements, safety decisions, financial decisions, legal obligations, or emergency navigation.

Your content

  • You retain ownership of the trip plans, reservations, notes, expenses, photos, preferences, and other content you provide.
  • You grant Roamer permission to host, process, display, sync, analyze, and transform that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
  • If you share a trip, invite collaborators, or enable public sharing, the information you choose to share may be visible to others.
  • You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload, import, or share any content you provide, including reservation details, photos, links, notes, and collaborator information.

Connected services

  • Optional integrations such as Gmail, Splitwise, maps, places, flight data, weather, push notifications, and app-store services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Roamer may depend on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, databases, AI generation, maps, analytics, crash reporting, notifications, exchange rates, and travel data.
  • We are not responsible for third-party services, provider outages, external booking sites, or transactions between you and a third party.
  • If you connect Gmail, Roamer will use Google user data only as described in the Privacy Policy and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
  • If you connect Splitwise, Roamer may store encrypted OAuth credentials and send selected trip and expense information to Splitwise when you request an export.

Google Maps and places

  • Roamer includes Google Maps features and Google Maps/Places content for maps, places, photos, directions, nearby suggestions, itinerary locations, and travel context.
  • By using Google Maps features and content in Roamer, you agree that those features and content are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Maps, Places, directions, traffic, walking times, venue details, photos, opening hours, and route estimates may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Use independent judgment and verify critical details before relying on them.
  • Roamer is not a real-time navigation, emergency, safety, or autonomous-vehicle control service.

Paid features

  • Roamer is currently available without paid consumer subscriptions. Some features may later be offered as paid subscriptions, purchases, trials, or promotions.
  • Prices, renewal terms, cancellation options, refunds, and taxes will be shown at purchase or handled by the relevant app store or payment processor.
  • We may change, add, or remove paid features, subject to applicable law and any terms shown at purchase.

Service changes

  • Roamer may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including beta, experimental, or third-party-dependent features.
  • We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account violates these terms, creates risk, or is being used unlawfully.
  • We may update these terms as Roamer changes. Updated terms will be posted here with a new effective date.

Disclaimers and limits

  • Roamer is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or error-free travel outcomes.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roamer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, travel disruption, missed reservations, or third-party provider issues.
  • Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
